Valentine's Day Gift and Date Guide

Valentine’s Day is a week away so I’ve created a list of gift ideas and date night ideas sure to impress anyone. Whether you’re a more simple gift giver or prefer luxury items, I’ve rounded up a group of gifts for any price point. I’ve also included some of my favorite date night spots and spas in the San Diego area to plan the perfect date day, cheers!

dress: Reformation | necklace: Sydney Evan | shoes: Gucci | flowers: Venus et Fleur

  1. I’ve been wanting this Johnathan Adler Candle for a while now. I love that its a decoration piece while smelling absolutely amazing. Definitely on my list.

  2. Currently on my want list is the Tom Ford Rose Prick Perfume. It is the perfect sexy floral scent that will last all day. I have been wanting this one for a while.

  3. Obsessed is an understatement…this Heart Shaped Le Creuset will sweeten any dessert. It looks adorable sitting on the stove and could make the best brownie dessert ever. Bonus points if you bake something in it as part of the gift.

  4. You can never go wrong with a good quality neutral bag. This Bottega small pouch is a great option. It’s the mini size so perfect for date night.

  5. Sure any flowers will do but these Venus et Fleur Roses last over a year and look beautiful in any room. I personally love the blush pink color for a soft neutral look.

  6. One of my most coveted pieces of jewelry is this Sydney Evan Love Necklace. I wear it everyday!

  7. I love how simple this Gorjana Floating Diamond Necklace is! It’s from their fine jewelry collection so will last a lifetime and they’ll replace it if it doesn’t. So good for layering.

  8.  My Current Favorite candle is the Santal Rock Rose from Apotheke. I have this one in my bedroom and the scent is sultry and warm. I absolutely love it.

  9. If she doesn’t have diamond studs she needs them. This pair from Bony Levy are great quality and will become a staple in her jewelry box.

  10. Everyone needs a classic white sneaker and these Platform Alexander Mcqueen’s are perfect! They are great quality and will last for so long.

  11. You know I had to include some candy on the guide! Sugarfina always has the cutest candy boxes for every holiday and this Valentine’s Day was no exception. Loving this Love Letters Tasting Box from Sugarfina, so adorable.

  12. I will recommend a version of Eberjey Pajamas for every Valentine's Day because they are literally the best. You can never have too many of them and there are so many different varieties plus they are the coziest Pajamas I’ve ever had.

Restaurant and Spa Guide

Seneca Trattoria

This breathtaking spot opened recently and offers delicious food with an outstanding view of the City. This has been one of my go to spots recently to grab a weekend bite. I recommend sitting on the outside patio for a romantic booth that feels secluded from the rest of the restaurant. My favorite dishes there are the hand-stretched Mozzarella and the truffle arancini.

Madison

Located in North Park this spot has a romantic vibe all around. This year they are doing a 3 course pre-fixe meal for this Valentines day. The service here is impeccable the lighting is moody, and the food is delicious; you can’t go wrong with picking Madison. They have one of my favorite drinks called the Queen of Hearts that comes with burning sage and a Tarot card.

Jeune et Jolie

If you want a high end meal this is the spot. Located in Carlsbad this Michelin star restaurant pulls out all the stops to make sure you have an amazing evening. Every bite you have here is absolutely delicious and like nothing you’ve had before. Jeune et Jolie is in such a quaint part of town and really makes it feel like you and your date are the only people in the world.

Cesarina

One of my favorite neighborhood spots in Point Loma is Cesarina. Offering some of the best Italian cuisine in the San Diego area you can’t go wrong with this romantic hidden gem. Every aspect of this restaurant is unique from their dinnerware to the throw blankets to keep you warm on the outdoor patio. My favorite part about Cesarina is the ability to customize your pasta, even the shape! Highly recommend this for all my pasta lovers out there.

The Pendry Spa

Relax and restore your body at the Pendry Spa in downtown San Diego. Start in the spa for a rejuvenating massage or facial before heading out to the rooftop pool to spend the day relaxing in the sun and eating delicious bites.

The Spa at Rancho Valencia

One of the best gifts you can give is a mini vacation. One of my favorites that is just 30 minutes outside of San Diego is the Rancho Valencia Hotel.. Start your day off playing tennis or participating in their amazing meditation sessions. Follow it up with an amazing massage at their newly renovated spa and end the day in the Pony Room enjoying a delectable dinner.

The Spa at Estancia

The star treatment at the Estancia is the Couples’ bungalow. Allowing you to book a private outdoor bungalow with side by side massage tables, a large soaking tub, and champagne. The relaxation doesn’t end there; after your treatment head over to the saltwater pool for drinks and snacks while relaxing.
