Skinny Spicy Margarita

About last night… Happy (late) Cinco de Mayo! This drink post was made for yesterday but got a little to caught up in the fun to get it up in time for you to make my favorite skinny spicy margarita. But hey, it’s never too late for a margarita! Brian and I had an impromptu Cinco de Mayo/friends birthday bash at our house and I couldn't pull myself away from the fun. This is a staple drink in my arsenal whether it be taco (cough cough tequila) Tuesday, Cinco de Mayo, or a warm summer day. I love it because it’s easy to switch up the recipe with different salts or adding special additions to the mix. I love all the unique salt mixes these days! I planned on using Tajin for the rim but my girlfriend brought over this grapefruit salt that I couldn’t say no to. I mixed it with some zested lime to make a bright and tasty rim that really added to the bright flavors of this drink. I always like to top my margarita with some sparkling water to make it less strong. We ended up making this for all our friends last night and it was a hit! Such an easy drink to make that’s light and refreshing with a little extra kick from the Jalapeños. xo, Chantelle
