Shop Small this Holiday Season
I have always loved exploring the small businesses that San Diego offers. There are so many unique women-owned businesses that I visit regularly and want to share with you all! This year it is essential to shop locally for the holiday season. Three of my favorite small businesses in San Diego are Shop Chic Mommy, Van De Vort, and Pigment.
Van De Vort is a curated boutique in San Diego owned by the wonderful Andrea Van De Vort. Andrea has always had a passion for using impeccable fashion to instill confidence in women. Her Boutique now has two locations in the San Diego area, and I can’t wait to see where she expands to next. Not to mention she also began VDV The Label, which has simple and timeless pieces that will quickly become staples in your wardrobe.
Shop Chic Mommy is an online store that sells candles, stationery, beauty products, and more. It is owned by Khara simply because she wanted to make gift-giving more effortless, and this website does that. She curated gift boxes that you can purchase so that you don’t have to go through the trouble of creating it yourself! P.S. I won’t judge you if the gift your buying is for yourself.
Pigment is a store that I tell almost everyone I meet about; I just love it so much. Walking in there is like walking into a dream! I will seriously go there when I am having a not so great day just to walk around and appreciate all it has to offer. I love that this store primarily carries products from young, local artists; this keeps Pigment on the cutting edge of trends. One fascinating thing they have is a garden shop in the back that lets you create your own succulent arrangements and more. This place is seriously a must!
