Homestyle Chili

I love making chili on cooler days; it’s the perfect meal to pair with grilled cheese on a rainy day, which is why I made it yesterday! When you’re chilly, make chili! This recipe is to die for so flavorful with so many different veggies prepared ahead of time to bring out their flavor. It’s a big recipe, so feel free to half it but, it’s perfect for my family of five to have for a meal and have extras for leftovers! It’s such an easy meal to throw in a pot the next day and heat up. I love to make mine in the morning and let it simmer all day; this brings out the flavor, plus my house smells fantastic. I like to hole back on the spices while I’m cooking it so that my kids will still eat it, but afterward, I like to add hot sauce to my bowl to turn up the heat! You can top it with whatever you want, but my go-to is Fritos...I love the crunch they add to the dish! YUM! Xo, Chantelle.
